Burglary Near You - Tennis Avenue, Tong

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Thursday 26th February, this occurred in the early hours of the morning around 0140hrs and 0152hrs the method of entry was by attacking the front door. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATES STATED SUSPECTS ENTERED PROPERTY BY ATTACKING FRONT DOOR, MADE A UNTIDY SEARCH AND MADE OFF. POLICE HAVE ATTENDED THE REPORT AND HAVE ARRESTED 2 X SUSPECTS THAT HAVE BEEN SEEN AT THE ATTACKED PROPERTY THEY REMAIN IN CUSTODY.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 26th February 0130hrs and 0200hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
